English public speaking – 30th Model ASEAN Summit
Model ASEAN Associations are youth organizations authorized by the ASEAN Secretariat to promote education, research, and service in international affairs.
Six BSC students, 3C Cheng Sze Hon, 3B Tang Ho Yi, 3A Cheng Sheung Ning, 3C Hsie Chin Ching, 4C Anissa Salsabilla and 4C Tang Hiu Yau, were invited to attend a summit where they would represent a country and discuss on international affairs with student delegates from around the world.
The summit aims to help students become global citizens, learn to collaborate with others, and improve their public speaking skills.
Before the summit, they attended a 3-day training session in February organized by the Model ASEAN Associations on public speaking and writing positions papers. After participation, the students have become more confident in English public speaking and skillful in writing academic papers!
